Best Little Town 4th of July Parade still....7-4-18 Clark Fork, Idaho

I apologized for the not so great pictures..  The secret it out.. 

Clark Fork has a great parade....

it is a family type parade of the towns people...

So most of my pictures are thru the crowd on each 

side of us... 

 when we first arrived at 8:30am.. (it starts at 9:30am)  there were already a few
people there and on one side was all full of parked rigs...

 and then it started to fill up... this is at 9am.. still half an hour to go yet..

this pleasant gentleman decided he should be first...

 Kids with bags in hand.. are ready...

AND WE ARE OFF.... starting at 9:31am.. not bad

This is what makes Clark Fork different than most parades..  you can't hear but those are
rifles being shot off thru out the whole parade...  just for those that don't know.. no it isn't live ammo

 All of these are Vets...

 You have all the kids of different ages.. walking. biking, in pickup beds..

 4 wheelers.... and candy being thrown left and right and the kids are on it... some with adults
to help for safety reasons..

 This is an old fashion down home people in this parade which makes it special
and yes those kids are throwing candy to the kids in the crowd

 candy for all sizes of kids..

 Clark Fork Community Center...  which by the way.. kicks out some fantastic food
twice a week for the senior and friends...

 Yep, they are not to be outdone by the big cities... they have their own band

 Old cars..

we had a few candies land at our feet, so Ken took some to the little guy who was
getting the short end of the thrown candy

got to have big trucks .... see the boy with his hand up... getting them to use their horn

well, folks that is it...   but actually we thought that was it.. so we folded up the chairs
and headed to the car quickly to get out before everyone else... only to find out there was one more float of the names of the men who died in Vietnam and the fire engines....  about 3...  so sorry..but they were so far down the road.. we  waited for 5 minutes and everyone said well, I guess that is the end.. so we got out of Dodge... uh,  rather Clark Fork...  but thank you Clark  Fork for another great parade..

I alternate between Sandpoint and Clark Fork, so next year I will have Sandpoint again..

We had a performance at church last Sunday.

It was the end of Vacation Bible Study week.

So the kids sang to us..

It is always a hoot to watch as the age group looks like about 4 to 8 years old.  There were hand motions to go with a few of the songs.  And sing they did. Some of them as loud as they could with much enthusiasm as possible.  Others were meek. And

Some were in the background, kind of bored by the 4 song… looking at the ceiling, over at their parents and waving.. at their feet.   One little guy kept moving a taller one to the side.

They all did a great job, and I am betting the teacher were so glad it was over for another year… Like I said.. dealing with kids and getting them all to do the same thing at the same time…is like pushing jello thru the key hole.
