GOOD BYE SUMMMER…hello Fall…

GOOD BYE SUMMMER…hello Fall…

And here we are.. putting our yards back to sleep mode.

Away with all the yard art.. put back in the totes.  Putting all

of the lights away… the sticks of art..   Mine are bikes and trucks that have wheels that spin in the wind… sometimes.

Then there is the garden areas.. pulling up old plants.. and hoping for the best of the late bloom tomatoes…

For me it was digging up tiger lilys that took over the one front garden area… So digging down a foot..  And planting a rose that I found a small upshot of one I have away years ago.  It smells so great.. so look forward to it growing up by the bedroom room.. In hopes in 2 years there will be an aroma flowing thru the bedroom window…. And hoping I am still alive to smell it..

So much stuff, threw away some of those, “I will fix someday”… pieces…  Putting away old favorites..

So good bye Summer, it seems like this has been a long year, but you slipped by quickly… with promise of snow cover within a month or so…  Here you are Fall, with your trees turning red.. with a spot or two of green remaining…

Summer is my favorite.. so it is going to be a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time coming back.. With winter kicking our tails with lots of snow to shovel and push and blow around the yard… for paths… This year will seem weird… You see for 14 years we snow blown a path around the front yard and back yard for Misty… It is still hard to imagine her gone… We both still tear up at the mention of her.. I got a tee shirt, that arrived today for the King… It is a baby Dachshund, in the pocket….  Looking just like her, when we got her.   So it will seem weird not to have paths going thru our yards..  even the neighbor helped out one time with the path.

So off we go, getting ready for winter… So enjoy the Fall as long as you can.. if we thought Summer ran by us fast.. Winter will be here just as fast..
