UP AND DOWNS OF LIFE....

Last week was an up and down of our family....  like a lot of families you lost someone and you gain some one..  With us.. it was gain some ONES.. two...  As you saw on my Friday post, we got two new ones..

It was March 9th when we got word that my cousin Sue passed away..  We knew it was coming, but never the less, it still hurt.  She fought such a grand fight. She would go hiking... and her friends would tell her to slow down, as she was outpacing them.   Even in January, she was still hiking.. Her last hike was 3 miles.  Sue always has been very competitive... She really could out do her brothers and sister in her delight of competition.  Sue was always a sweet gal, loved by lots of people... friends and family. Compassionate, always concern about others.  She and Jere loved life.. boating and what ever else they did together.     She will be missed by the mass of friends they have.

This will be the way, I will always remember Sue...  with a bigger than life grin...

We barely were adjusting to the lost of Sue, when we got word that two of our grand daughters had headed to the hospital that evening...   The miracle of cell phones, keep us all abreast of the going on.. Even the girls themselves kept in touch with each other. One up by Olympia, and the other down in Longview Washington.  At midnight, I gave up and went to bed... upon waking the next morning I ran to my computer and found out one of the little girls made it to the world...  sliding in at 1.06AM...  and saw that at 4AM.. the other little one decided she just might come too, now that she knew her birthday twin made it into the world...  and at 7:57AM... she slide out (I am sure Mom didn't think it was that easy) and joined her second cousin in the new world..  To the wonderment of grandparents.. who were beaming..   In the day of Covid... where grandparents can't enter the hospital and wait in the waiting room.... they had to stay home and listen for the phone to ring.. But as soon as those two mom's and little gals wanted to go home, Grandparents where there to greet them and pictures were taken...

So welcome Elaina Grace and Delilah Cascade....  your massive family has been waiting for you.. so many cousins to play with.. and second cousins.. and aunts and uncles and grandparents... and of course the most important of all.. Mom's and Dad's... the pictures of the Dad's with their baby girls are precious...

This makes 27 great grand children for us...
