Thoughts from a cooped up woman…

Thoughts from a cooped up woman….

As one is on her knees scrubbing the floor, or standing on a stool,
trying to reach the things above the cabinets.. Things seem to pop up in one’s mind…as it wanders in and out…

I remember when men would go to Washington D.C. to make a difference for their state’s citizens.. But somewhere along the road, they changed from making things better for America… to what is better for themselves. Some tried but after they saw it was no longer possible, they quit and went home.  Sadly for all of us… as there doesn’t seem like any who use common sense for the common man, is left to try. Some that have tried, have gotten destroyed by lies and slander and dirty politics..  Like the Bush group, passing stories of the illegitimate daughter of John McCain, who was really a daughter he adopted…  Even Ross Perot was slammed in such story telling about someone in his family.   Will there ever really be a honest person who will go to Congress and want to do good for his home state citizen or is it beyond hope?

In our effort to educate, do we try to make all students the same?  Or do we forget to give them the right to think differently .. outside of the box so to speak.  For them to think, to imagine, beyond the every day class.  To think of, to imagine what can be? For it was the imagination that has lead to inventions of the many things we have.  After all with out imagination, we would not have the machinery that is used to do the production in factories..  When I see a program called how do they make that.. I marv at the machinery that does the whole process.. who thought of that. Who thought of machinery that moves the bottle or part along the line, and puts labels on them.. or cuts out a part, or washes the fruit and adds the right amount of sugar or what ever else goes it to it?   Where would any of that come from, if it wasn’t for some one imagining how to do that?

And I leave you with the thought … of music.  No time has music seem so important as it does during these days.  Be it gospel, jazz, rock and roll.. what ever that raises your hopes and feelings. The first I noticed, was on the news when they showed the Italians coming out on their porches in the many buildings that were 4 or 5 stories tall.. Some came and sang, some came and played guitar to be joined by a drummer…  Some just sang… Raising the hope of all those neighbors who stepped out on to their porch areas.. Giving hope, raising the spirits of others…  How many people have been on their computers and went to YouTube to hear some kind of music.. A favor song, a favor singer of now or even the past… Music is good for the soul…   May you find some music in your life.. as you endure these times…Play a cd.. or record if you have them.. and album of your favorite music…  God Bless….
