Be careful what you wish for.. Immigrants

As the observer, of the news and the Facebook
barrage of words… it strikes me, the old saying..
Be careful what you wish for….

The media.. all over.. Facebook, talk shows, some
what the news… newspapers… it is every where.
The shock and horror of the signing of no immigrants
in to America nor any of us being able to come and go
from 7 countries.  And now he is
talking about adding some more counties.

See I remember about 3 or 4 years ago, running around
Facebook was meme of Robin Williams, about building
walls around the USA.  Letting no one in.. and letting no
one out.. that we would be come self sufficient. We wouldn’t
need to trade with anyone.. We wouldn’t go to war with
anyone, because we would keep them all out of the USA
Why poor Robin got his name on this, is beyond me.. as he
definitely did not say it or thought it.  But I do remember
people passing that thing around many times and adding
their two cents to it.

I am still waiting for the lobbyist and the term limits..
But that won’t be in my life time…

But back to the immigrants… You see I am old enough to
remember the rest of the immigrants.. you know the ones,
the ones that were your grandparents? Or Great grandparents
and even now maybe your great, great grandparents?  See I
remember the word WOP… it was not a nice name to call
the Italians.   For those who don’t know.. the word WOP
Stood for  W….with….O ….out…P…. papers…  Now what
does that suggest to you?  They came over on the ship
thru Ellis Island.. not so much. There were a lot of them
who did.. but there obliviously were those who did not.
There is the Irish who came in as second hand people,
on a indentured servant policies.    We had the Chinese
who came in a lot of times not true proper channels, and
were put into slavery, because they never could pay off
the amount the boss paid to have them come.  They dug
the hole deeper owing the company store.
Say nothing about the poor Japanese people that the
Government so quickly put into camps and took their
property, business, forever.

No immigrants have never been truly accepted in the
USA.. and today it is ironic that most that yell the most
would not be here, had their families not came here from
somewhere.    So unless you are an Native American
Indian.. your family came to these shores, be it legal
or not..

With a lot of those who came.. there was the bad element
who came with them. You have the Irish and Italians
fighting in New York at the turn of the 20th century.
You had the  Vietnamese gangs, the Japanese gangs.
But they were the 10% .. the rest of them were and
are good folks who just wants the same as you and I.
A place to live, be able to afford food, a job.
and those who are afraid of the Muslins? Do you
know they have been here since the 1880?, No I
didn’t think you did.

And while you are yelling and ranting to your friends..
Be careful what you wish for… And think about how
your family got here.  Google it sometime.
And remember we hate what we don’t understand.. and chose not to understand…

I have the tech blues.....

My daughter was nice enough to gift me a
Pad.. Samsung …  Has my email on it, and
Facebook.  And I will be able to take pictures.
And will be able to do wondrous things with that.

Notice I said WILL BE ABLE to do wondrous
things.   Because it is going to take a while.
I have been going thru one step at a time.  I
have my facebook page on it.  I have one of my
email address on it.  The other one is a another
story, as it isn’t the common one.. like msn, yahoo
or any of those.. So it has presented a problem,
with the security of it. I am not putting in the
correct information, I guess.. so today will
be the gather of the information.. for that.

Getting use to the small screen and my big
fingers for the pop up keyboard is interesting.
Some of the stuff that is in one place on my
laptop, is in another side on the pad.

I am doing one thing at a time, so not to overwhelm
my brain with it. As electronics and I are
not necessarily friends anymore. I use to have
a brain… now I have mush, that tries to
impersonate a brain.   So if I don’t clutter it
too much.. I might have a chance to actually
get this.

My daughter says if I can conquer this one.. then
I will be ready for a smart phone..  OH, GOD FORBID.
I GOT THE TECH BLUES…

The Carousel of Smiles project

There is a couple... Clay and Reno Hutchison.. who loves... Carousels. Have for years..   They have been looking for a whole carousel.. not just a piece.  And then along came the opportunity. The year was 2000. They were able to buy it before it went to auction.  Auctions usually means it is parted out..  But they were able to buy the whole thing.   The amazing thing is that it had been stored in a tractor trailer for over 48 YEARS!!!.  Someone had bought years ago.. 1970's  and started to restore the horses.. and had stripped the old paint. And then it sat for many years again.
But now they are in Sandpoint. With great hopes to have it done in a year.  There was two showings of them.  First was the unloading of them..  and then last Saturday, was the showing for those who missed it the last time, like the King and I.  And also in hopes the fever was catching and those of the right trade, may volunteer to help.  The King did put down his name and for welding, and gears and engines. They need wood workers... painters and others.  And people did...

The love of ones childhood, and the ride on the carousel is contagious .   So here you see the beginning.. And I hope I am around in the year or so that it is done.. So I can show you the finish project.

For those with computers, here is the site.

Opening the door for lies....

When I watched the news and saw one of Trump’s
people explain why what his press secretary said,
was not lies BUT ALTERED TRUTH!!  All I could
think was .. OH. .. MY… GOD… did she ever opent
the door to untruth.  Better know to you and I as LIES.
They don’t need to use the wording of ..”little white
lie” anymore.. and even flat out lying.. will be come
obsolete.   ALTERNATIVE TRUTH is the new one…

The door is open.  This isn’t just a buzz word.  A buzz
word is, word or words uttered and people pick it up and
over use it.. WHERE IS THE BEEF?  ALRIGHT,ALRIGHT,
QUITE FRANKLY I DON’T GIVE A DAMN..  Or simple
ones.. cool, awesome and so many we have picked up from
a simple word or wording uttered by someone.

But the door that opens will also become a legal one.
I am sorry, your honor, I did not lie, it was an alternative
truth.

Newspaper and later television reporters use to be held to
accountability for the truth.  Some times legally, some
times by society.   We all know that of late, the media,
all media… has had a hard time staying in the line of truth.
Fox News has a way of spinning the truth .. as well as some
of the bigger news outlets. Depending on what political
game side they are on.  What use to be called yellow
journalism, has become the norm.  We use to make fun
of the “scandal sheets” like Enquire, and alike.  But
now we can’t count on anything.

Guess life has become like my parents use to say, which
was a saying… Believe ¼ of what you read and ½ of what
you see. Now to believe 1/10 of what you read and 1/4 of what you
see

Does this mean that the legal cases of slander will now go to
the way side?  After all, slander is lies.. and true is going to
become alternative truth, which of course, to you and I is…lies.

Say nothing about dealing with your kids.. they will catch
on to this fast.. I DID NOT LIE… I told the altered truth.

What comes to mind is .. Sir Walter Scott’s words.

Oh, what a tangle web we weave, when we first
practice to deceive.

Does it make a difference?

Over the weekend there was the Women’s March in Washington,Dc. As well as many cities around the US…as well as over seas.  After that or even during it.. there was a post, on Facebook. Which I agreed.. (I have it at the end of this) Several of us agreed for one reason or another..  and caught a lot of flak for agreeing with it. You can read the original below first if you would like.
Here is my view.

The thing is.. yesterday march was a feel good thing... not productive.. so that is what I had trouble with it. Like the BLACK MAN MARCH of years ago.. what did that do? Same thing that happen  tomorrow. On Monday morning everything is back at their jobs and nothing happens. pretty much no one cares enough... So what can make a difference? If those 500,000 women and men.. and the women and men who marched in each town.. took the money they paid to go to each of these.. and put it in a fund.. a national fund.. and buy themselves the best lawyers to change and challenge. To pay for the lobbyist we all know that run Congress.. and get the laws changed. THEN I WILL BE IMPRESSED.. Protest works some times when something right now just happen.. but for the long run.. it takes people to challenge the laws.. and that takes money... You take the women who showed up in Wa. DC yesterday... even if they only gave $100 (it cost them a lot more for travel and hotels) each.. times 500,000 .. well that is a pretty good start on fighting a way that works.. Add the rest of the cities people as well, they should be on their way. Otherwise it is just a feel good thing.
Don't think so.. then tell me how life has improved for the black man since theirs? better jobs? no, police don't shoot them any more, when they are laying on the ground with their hands up...no gun anywhere.. like a couple months ago? Nope.. I don't see where the march did anything for them either.

HERE IS WHAT WAS WRITTEN ON FACEBOOK
On point but author unknown...

I am not a "disgrace to women" because I don't support the women's march. I do not feel I am a "second class citizen" because I am a woman. I do not feel my voice is "not heard" because I am a woman. I do not feel I am not provided opportunities in this life or in America because I am a woman. I do not feel that I "don't have control of my body or choices" because I am a woman. I do not feel like I am " not respected or undermined" because I am a woman.
I AM a woman.
I can make my own choices.
I can speak and be heard.
I can VOTE.
I can work if I want.
I control my body.
I can defend myself.
I can defend my family.
There is nothing stopping me to do anything in this world but MYSELF.
I do not blame my circumstances or problems on anything other than my own choices or even that sometimes in life, we don't always get what we want. I take responsibility for myself.
I am a mother, a daughter, a wife, a sister, a friend. I am not held back in life but only by the walls I choose to not go over which is a personal choice.
Quit blaming.
Take responsibility.
If you want to speak, do so. But do not expect for me, a woman, to take you seriously wearing a pink va-jay-jay hat on your head and screaming profanities and bashing men.
If you have beliefs, and speak to me in a kind matter, I will listen. But do not expect for me to change my beliefs to suit yours. Respect goes both ways.
If you want to impress me, especially in regards to women, then speak on the real injustices and tragedies that affect women in foreign countries that do not that the opportunity or means to have their voices heard.
Saudi Arabia, women can't drive, no rights and must always be covered.
China and India, infanticide of baby girls.
Afghanistan, unequal education rights.
Democratic Republic of Congo, where rapes are brutal and women are left to die, or HIV infected and left to care for children alone.
Mali, where women can not escape the torture of genital mutilation.
Pakistan, in tribal areas where women are gang raped to pay for men's crime.
Guatemala, the impoverished female underclass of Guatemala faces domestic violence, rape and the second-highest rate of HIV/AIDS after sub-Saharan Africa. An epidemic of gruesome unsolved murders has left hundreds of women dead, some of their bodies left with hate messages.
And that's just a few examples.
So when women get together in AMERICA and whine they don't have equal rights and march in their clean clothes, after eating a hearty breakfast, and it's like a vacation away that they have paid for to get there...
This WOMAN does not support it.

GOOD BYE, MR. PRESIDENT..

                                GOOD BYE, MR. PRESIDENT...
Thank you for being the class act that you and your family have been.. While I didn't agree with you political all the time. But I admire the fact, that no matter how dirty the public became.. no matter what the horrible nasty names they called you and your wife.. You both kept your head high. You showed you did not lower your self to their level..
I believed in you the first time and voted for you.. I thought you  might be the one to make changes.   As a old voter, and kind of jade, it might not be possible.. but when you said.. YES, WE CAN.. I thought, well maybe you just might be able to. And you were different than the OLD WASHINGTON GUARD, so just maybe.  And then there is the deal breaker on the other side.. Ms Palin..  She was a deal breaker for me.. And you did look promising.

The first 4 years, you did try to make good on your promises. I did see the road construction going on across the country when I traveled to Wisconsin.  You were trying to construct a health care that was affordable for the citizen who were being out priced on insurance for their families and with less coverage.  There was words in the works for the gay people..  You were trying.  There was works going on to end the war overseas that was given to you by the previous bunch. And the economy was trying to recover and jobs coming back. But the lobbyist were still there.  The one line laws didn’t happen. And a few others, that I had hoped would happen.   And the Affordable Care was not affordable by many.  It had some good points, like the 26 year old kids under their parents, and no previous injury wording.. but the rest was leaving a lot unsaid.. and the insurance companies were given enough time before it went into an act , to raise their rates sky high for many .
The next 4 years were worse for you as Congress made sure they blocked you at every law or policies you tried to pass for the citizens.  Ending up using the executive order over and over.   But some of the things you tried.. did get thru.. While not nationally, but state wide, some of yours got thru. Like gay marriages and marijuana in many states.   And the economy did rise up and the unemployment did go down to 4%.  But I also saw that with Congress blocking you so badly, that the nation was getting enough of it all. And the parties took over and works FOR the citizens went to the way side.

I guess what comes to mind is the scene in One who flew over the Cockoo Nest…. Where the man tried to pick up the water fountain from the floor. And he grunted and groan and finally, have a lot of time…he ended up walking away.. Others in the room made fun of him. Laughing at him. When the Indian, looked at all of them.. and say.. “WELL, AT LEAST HE TRIED.”    And that you did.

You can hold your head high, because you did tried.. also you are a fantastic father, and husband.  It had to be hard to stand by and hear some of the news come in about your wife. No first lady has been so put down, since Nancy Reagan. Who did not have to endure the racist remarks.   At least they left your daughters alone.   But you and your wife, showed what class is like.

So GOOD BYE MR. PRESIDENT… I wish you and your fine family well.

Wake up Leroy, this is going to be the worse wreck you ever saw..

Long time ago, there was a joke, about a truck driver, who was
coming down off of the Grapevine… a nickname for a mountain
in California, outside of Fresno, California.. A very very STEEP
Highway..and when you are on the down hill side of it.. it can
be pretty harrowing.  Not for the faint of heart.  And joke was
“wake up, Leroy, this is going to be the worse wreck of
your life, and you need to see this.

As we all know, tomorrow is the awakening of a new day.
A new President, a said …new Administration, A new type
of government.  And by some.. a new insanity.

So hang on to your hats, folks… this is going to be a hell of
a ride.  Which starts tomorrow, but you aren’t going to see
any real action until next week or later…

Can’t wait until January 20, 2018… so I can asked all those
diehearted Trump supporters…. SO, HOW IS THIS WORKING

OUT FOR YOU?”

What is a circus?

That is a question our great grandkids will
probably be asking.   Or your grandchildren.

As I watched the new, there was a report that
Ringling Barnum Bailey Circus will have their
last show in May.  I don’t know if some of the
smaller ones will also quit or maybe they already
have.  There hasn’t been one in our area for years.
We did take our grandson to one many years ago.
I think he was about 10. He is now 26.  It wasn’t
RBBC’s circus, but it was pretty good.  The side
shows didn’t seem to be up to par, but over all good.

Myself, I have seen RBBC many times. I saw it
in R.I. as a kid a couple times. I saw it in San
Diego, twice.  I have seen the lesser ones a couple
of times.. The one we took our grandson to, is the
last one.

It is sad that kids will not be in awe as the elephants
parade by.. or the high wire acts wobble across the
wire. Or the trapeze act is flying over head.  I find
it all sad.

I thought it was because of the PETA people who
have been after the circus for years to drop the
elephant acts out of the show, but the report said
that the people just haven’t been coming out as
much as they use to.  That kids are more into
reading their screens than they are into seeing
the trapeze artist and the animal acts.  Again…
Sad..
Just another thing that I am so happy was in my child
hood, that kids won’t get to experience.  As I was thinking
about how my great grandchildren missing out, I thought
back to my grandchildren. Which 90% of them are adults
now.. and wondered how many of them have been to a circus.

If I won the lotto, I would buy tickets to the RBBC last show
in May, for all of them.  All children should experience the
awe of the circus in their lifetime.

NOT in my neighborhood

From time to time, when things happen, we
think, not in our neighborhood.
So when I was asked for a prayer from my church
for two  Bonner County Sheriff deputies who had
been shot.  My heart sank.

We all have read and saw on television stories about
police officers being shot.  Way, way, too many of
them this year.   Blue lives do matter…I think all
lives matter, but Blues are out there to protect us.
But as I have read it happening across our nation,
even in small town mid America…  I guess I was
in denial it would be here.. Here in our county.

Thank God, the wounds are not life threatening.
And both officers will be up and around soon.
The shooter as well, was shot and is going to
survive to serve his time.

Also this is a proud county, as I am sure many
others are… so the thoughts have gone to the
families…and what can the average citizen do for
those families to make their load a little less
heavy. There is talk of food trains, for the families.
then the sad thought, of how some might not be
honest with it and do more harm.. so then the
word was what about restaurant gift cards for the
family. And questioning what else can they do for
these families.

You can never say, not in my neighborhood..
as it can knock on your door at anytime.

The Generations.....

Over the years I have seen label for different generations.
The one most used is the ‘BOOMER” generation.
Then came the “GENERATION X”  and then the “MILLENNIAL”  and now we have the “GENERATION Z”
(I don’t know what happen to Generation Y…
 I’m guessing that is Millennial)

Also mention from time to time is the “GREATEST GENERATION” who are those born before 1930.  Those born from 1930 to 1945” …Well, we have been given a few names..
Traditionalist, Forgotten, radio babies, Moral Authority, the few
and even the “SILENT GENERATION.”  The silent generation,
What does that mean?  Got me. Being one of those born then, it would be nice to know. For years I thought I was a “Boomer”. But was told several years ago, by a Boomer… I was NOT a Boomer. Too old to be Boomer, she said. So what was I?  No one seemed to
know. I was too young to be “the Greatest Generation. Fact is, I wasn’t even born yet.

A lot of the generations seem to be connected to wars.
Greatest- WWI and WWII… Boomers seem to be the
Vietnam War.
Are we the silent generation because Korean War was not
considered a war?
Generation X … x because there were no wars, only squirmishes.
Millennials, of course, because they were going to be the end of
the century.

They called us the Silent generation because we were career mined and did not protest.
I think the name , that we are the silent generation, kind of fits.
Because we don’t care anymore. We see other than a little disgust, and with our complaining and voting (which is still important, but becoming a joke national of late) nothing changes. So we have been silent.

I can remember in the 70’s when the Boomers and the Generation X were coming of  age, they thought they had all the answers.
With the motto of, don’t trust “THE MAN” .. LOVE POWER.
And etc.  Who are now full fledge adults, heading towards retirement…  I wonder with all their knowledge of the 70’s and straighten up the rest of us… how is that working for you all?
Or are you finding out, it is all the same.. before and now?
And with internet, running away with your lives.. How is that
working out for you all?

Yep, SILENT GENERATION, sounds good to me.

A MOUSE IN THE HOUSE!!!

Was sitting there, last night when the King jumped
up and ran to the window area.  I asked him, what
is wrong.  A MOUSE!!!  We have a mouse in the
house.   Trying not to laugh at his words, but still.
Plus for me.. there is the …. I don’t like mice, period.

So he looks thru drawers and the garage.. no mouse
trap.  We haven’t had a mouse in the house since
Rokon came to live with us 12 years ago.  But with
Rokon passing, we are catless.  Hense, a mouse in
the house.

The man who said he wasn’t going ANYWHERE..
Put on his boots and was out the door to the store.
See we didn’t even owe a mouse trap.
He return with a standard wooden wire mouse trap.
But also a box called Tom Cat.. it looked like it would
have the mice feet stick to this thing and would be
trapped ..   He already thru the box away, otherwise
I would have a picture of it.. I don’t know where he
put that.. but I am here to tell you… if I hear a
squealing, squeaking sound.. I am going to be
long gone..  I don’t do mice, I don’t do mice
traps…. Besides I was told that you kill one mouse,
there will be 20 coming to its funeral…

Oh, and I found TOMCAT mouse trap on line…it
looks like this..

By the way, Misty has no interest in this mouse
either..

And the wind blew....

The past week has been interesting ..
weather wise.

We have had about 4 days of deep freeze.
9 for day times.. and any where from -6 to
4 above for early mornings.

Leaving us with open cabinets to sinks,
and dripping water, so we didn’t have to
have frozen pipes.

Then the snow came once again.. leaving us
5 more inches…but also adding the wind with
it.. so there are drifts everywhere.

We have about 2 feet on the flat, about 3 feet
in the middle where the King has blowing the snow
to make a pee trail for Misty.  But out back by
the green house, there is drifts up to 4 feet tall.

Yet this is not a bad year.. this is a average year.
Those who are moaning and groaning about it
this year.. forget that just 6 or so years ago, we
had so much more.. garages, and barns were
falling in from the weight of the snow. Even
some homes roofs were falling in.
Also in 1995, there was so much.. that they
were having a hard time finding a place to
put the snow from the streets.  And it was
common to drive thru town, stopping at
ever intersection, and ease out pass the
wall of snow to see if the road was clear to
cross or pull out.  People were getting paid
$20 to $75 an hour to shove off buildings.
I worked in a nursing home, and they shoveled
it off and what was already on the ground.. the
windows were covered… I remember one family
member stumbling across the yard to get to the
window of his mother.. so he could dig out a
port hole for day light in her room and for her to
look out thru.

One year, about 1988, we had a week
of below 0.. with the wind blowing.. one day it
was -40 degrees with wind chill factor.

Yep, this is just a regular normal average Idaho
winter.

The future looks like fun, but also scary....

I was watching 60 minutes on Sunday with
the King.

The second section had a story about A.I.
That is for Artificial Intelligent.  And it was
interesting.  The WOW factor.  They start
out with the little tiny, well, not tiny, but
smaller than the average drone.  It was a little
bigger than the guys hand.  And they flew like
20 at first… and showed how the A.I. communicates
with the others.. and they fly around each other with
out crashing in to each other.  Which I found amazing.
As they came from all directions, milling around in the center
area.  The guy talked about how they could be
sentries for guarding a 3 mile area.  Interesting.

Then they went on to a robot type deal with a disc
on top that flies off and hovers around and can
find anything that the owner wants it to find.
From things to humans. It knowing the difference
from one human from the other human… Interesting.

Then back to a trial of 100 of these to see if they will
fly, and come from different areas and fly by each other
as well in as in a circle with out hitting each other.
They did.. although the batteries died on a few.
They are working on that.   All very interesting..

What I found scary.. and the King agreed.. These
very same A.I. could fly into a large city such as
ChicagoNew York…. Or Los Angeles  and
spray poisonous stuff over the population, that
are walking down the streets, driving.. playing
in their yards, at the schools and etc.   If taken
over by any enemy.
After all, if we are to believe that Russia could hack
our computers enough to take over one at a water
plant, or interfere with the Democrat party.
I can see the possibilities of this going all wrong.

But still has the wow factor.  Especially the one
that could go into any building with a weapon,
and find the enemy, so our guys wouldn’t have

to go in and get ambushed.

Toilet paper and the law of average.....

You know it is a slow day, if the topic is
toilet paper.

The other day, the King was asking me if
we used more toilet paper now than before,
say a year ago.  I laughed and said no, we
are on the same average for years.. Why?
He said because, either we were using a lot
more, or I was stalling, so he had to change the roll.
And also getting out the toilet paper from the
closet and putting it in the 4 roll holder that is
near the toilet. Assuming that I was getting out
of doing that chore.

I laughed. I told him that it is because he is home
more now.  He looked at me kind of irritated.  I told
him I was not referring to the fact he was going more
here at the house, because he no longer was going
to work for 8 + hours. I was referring to the fact
that with him using it more, the law of average is, he
is going to have to change out the rolls and place
paper in the holder more often..   After, all I asked,
who do you think has been changing it for the past
30 years?  That twice a year he might have.. but
the law of average I would be the one who would
be the changer. (plus he was great at leaving an
empty roll)

This has also come up with the garbage, but I have
already posted on that in the past. And bow to him
as being the champion garbage compactor, anything
except take it outside to the can.

It is that time of the year....TAXES...

I know we have 3 and half more months..
But I am one of those who wants to get it
over with..  While I can’t file yet, I sure can
get my paper work ready..

I have a file folder (you know with the 14 slots.
one for each month and extras) full of receipts.
kind of like… yep, I got a receipt for that.. as
I look thru all my papers in the box, in years
past. About 10 years ago, I decided to buy one
of those accordion file folders..  Putting each
month tag on each slot. And put the word TAXES
on the extra slot… hoping I remember to put all
those tax related in that slot.  And at the end of the
year.. it is a like fat hog ready to be slaughtered.

This works in two ways.. I put ever single.. yes,
every single receipt in that folder.  And if I need
to go back and get that receipt, I just look thru the
folder of the month I bought.  Which is handy,
as a couple times we have had something go wrong
and have to prove we bought it at their store and
when.. and how much.   And I can do that now.

Then at the end of the year, I go thru it all, find what
is taxable information.. and put it to the side. Then I
go thru the extra pile, which is receipts for items
bought.. and I put those in the file cabinet, under
products, manuals, warranties and etc.  Just in case
I need it next year.

Then the tax able papers.. file it in order of information.
health, taxes paid (W-2 forms) and etc.   Then I type
a report of all those..  And if I am lucky to get an
appointment in March, I take it into my tax guy.
I have the report listed with each amounts on it,
in each department.. and I have the file folder with
the paper work to back up those in the report.

So today, is the day to open that stuffed pig case.
Take out each month.. making piles of each receipt.
One for utilities, one for receipts from Wal-mart, one
for North 40 and etc..  then there is the misc.

Going thru each pile making sure I didn’t miss any
taxable papers.   And after I am satified that I have
them all…. Then it is the shredding machine and I,
time… Don’t want all those account numbers and
etc. in the wrong hands.

Ah, yes, the fun of it all…but then again, what else
do I have to do on a freezing day, when the temps
are in the teens, and the wind is blowing.. and I don’t
want to think about wind chill factors.

I am so confused.....

We all know that the English language is
Well, for a lack of better word.. confusing..

Like the word HACK..  I have always thought
It was a bad thing..  meaning to break up things,
Or to get into one’s computer and make havoc.
Be a hack was not a good thing..

Now I see it used a lot.. It seems like it is suppose
To mean.. research something so you can use it?
Or what is online.. is
  1. Definition of hack

The link above goes to the definition page for "hack".

The slang term "hack" also appears in the following thesaurus categories:

You got that?   Because I sure don’t.. I don’t know if it
Is good or bad.. sounds like it is mostly bad.

UPDATE...
add to this .. DUBBING... which is a dance or stance... while bopping up and down... which a young man got into trouble doing at the Congress swearing in.
It also has something to do with drugs as well.. so be careful how you use the term.. but I am still confused...
