BUT WHY???

How many times have we heard that question? How many
time have you asked it.. I bet your parents will say thousands of times…

I think there is a little old man at the nursery in the hospital, who teaches all children to ask BUT WHY? And keep saying WHY? To each explanation that the parents give.

It is as old as the times.. I remember driving my parents to the edge a couple of times.. before the standard remark comes, that ends this conversation… ……. Most of the time.. Are you ready to say it.. you have heard it…and probably said it.. I know I did… “BECAUSE I SAID SO”.  but why?

I wonder.. do other nations of none English speaking… do their children ask WHY in their own language?  Or is this just a American and English saying.. (there is a difference you know.. England and other countries speak English… we speak American version of English)

And as adult we seem to forget to ask WHY… especially from the government.

2013 4th of JULY.... Sandpoint, Idaho style....

2013 4th July ...
SANDPOINT, IDAHO style

a few of us early ones.. got the best shaded spots.. The King and I were right on
the corner of Church and 4th.
No many had choise the sunny side... close to the Panhandle Bank parking lot
 cars are lined up ...
Year after year.. this fine lady, Cherie Fitzpatrick Lane, organizes the people in the parade as well as control
the traffic.. she said this year.. first since our bypass, has been a lot easier to handle..
still some problems.. but light ones.. like a pregnant woman heading to the hospital..
(she got there safely and in time)
The local finest .... We have Northside, Sandpoint, Southside fire dept. trucks

The Lions club has been putting this parade on each year
forever... this is the new Lion President.. and the outgoing
below..

area...

a lot of charity work ....

The leader of the pack.. Joe Castro, a long time member.

 Sandpoint dance group...

some of our local business.. logging is still alive here..

I don't know whose car this is.. it was in the Lost in the
50's parade as well.. it is beautifully painted and it sure
sounded great.. to those of us who love a rich motor.
 Politics, trucks, tractors....

 Local soccer team....

Can't have a parade without horses...

and of course.. when you have horses.. you have pooper scoopers.
Named THING 1 and THING 2.
With the demo races in town.. you have to have a
invite reminder.. in the parade..
This isn't your Tia chi class...
local garden center...which has weekly free (donations
only) music programs.. the donations is for different
local charities.
bring up the rear.. boats, Shriners, and trucks..

The sad part of the parade, is the lack of marching bands...
I remember watching the Sandpoint High School band
practicing for the parade years ago.. I wonder why it does
not do that anymore...
