What I know about AI…..

In reality, I know nothing..  Well, I know it exist and there is so much more, that what you have ever read about it.

I find it interesting.. of the vastness of it.. but scary of the world if it goes sideways.

As we all know.. for every good thing that has showed up.. there are evil out there who do evil things with it.. Even some who mean well, ended up not being good for all. 

I read of the good.. and the promise of more.. The health programs that come of it.. the help for doctors to find the root of illnesses.. the operations that will be done, which could make recovery easier and faster.  There so much they talk about …..  but..

THERE IS THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN…  there is talk about copying works of others..  there is talk of copying those who have passed and their words.. from  poets to singers and etc..   That is the part that is partly scary.. where does truth end and AI (Artificial intelligence)start? What is real anymore?

Those of us who grew up with TRUTH being valued and counted on .. not the “alternative truth” that  Trump and his group came up with..  but as the saying goes.. HONEST TO GOD TRUTH….    I am beginning to believe.. the quote I have used in the past..   from A few Good Men.. Jack Nicholson said it so well…   “THE TRUTH?  THE TRUTH?  YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH”... In the years to come..  will there be truth as you and I know it.. That is scary.. 

But the part that scares me more.. for my grandchildren and my great grandchildren… is evil..  When ever something comes out, new that seem to be a wondrous thing..   Evil finds its way to form it to their practice. Look at computers in general, when they first came out.. Now we have hoax, scams, and much more.. Facebook started out a great way to keep up with your friends and family who live away from you…  Now look at it.. Ads beyond Ads.. people stealing other peoples pages..  say nothing of the twisted ways that Russia has incorporated into Facebook with others. Stolen identities.

We know that AI is all over China… some of the great minds of AI are Chinese citizens..  Even India has some great minds in it… as they with all the rest..  make AI more and more each day.. heck, even hour to hour.. How long before Russia and those other who would love to see American crash and burn..  take it over and the world will not be.. what you think it is now.

What will be left for our grandchildren… great grandchildren??  You worry about the Republicans and the Democrats and the lack of working for the American people and keeping up with their petty crap…  THAT will be come child’s play..  How many of those over 60 in Congress even have a clue of what AI is.. 

So you see this is growing so fast.. and furious..  it is admittedly over my head.. and is for so many others.. and a lot of it is not in the news.. And only if you read the recent TIME magazine.. to you have a small iota of what it is and can be..

How do you feel about AI???  does it scare you?  Will the good outweigh the bad?  And those who think Congress will pass a law against evil in AI.. is laughable..  it is not a USA thing.. it is a WORLD thing.  And we all live in this world..  Heck even Musk is trying to get his space ship in better condition to go to Mars and take his family..  in case AI goes array. But… ha ha..  he is cashing in on it before he goes.. Now if that don’t scare you, I guess nothing will.
