HELLO OCTOBER….

HELLO OCTOBER….

Here we go again.. heading to the big season of winter.. YES I KNOW. It is FALL.. but you know Fall zips by faster than even Spring does…  Summer well, that depends on weather and what you got going.. on if it last longer. But we know WINTER LAST FOREVER..   They say it is 3 months.. but we all know it is longer than that..  and that is even if it starts on Halloween night.. which seems to be the first snow of the season, while the kiddo are out begging for candy..

We have had light snow for the past couple years.. Maybe two feet at any given time..    maybe that would be high to you.. but on a good winter we have had up to 5 feet of standing snow..   with mounds of 10 feet because of the snow coming off the buildings.. be it by shovel or nature..

Still have some time to finish off the yard stuff..  Have two table sets to move to the shed and two b-b-que to put away.. (he has a propane one and a wood chip one)  By mid October we will have snow shovels in place..

And I sleep later.. already up to 7am..  I was up at 5:30am for the summer.. But that is too dark and cold for me now.. so the dog and I snuggle in at that time..  and wait until 7am’ The King rises at 3:30 to 4:30am..  old traits are hard to let go for him.. as that was his working hours.. Up at that time to be at work at 5am..  now his 5am call is.. the HOOT OWL..  it is a mom and pop restaurant.. and he and the old farts (it is one the wall next to the table) discuss the world .. nationally and local.. 

So get your winter stuff out.. it is coming your way… soon..  sooner than you want.
