The further ahead we get, the more behind we are…

In this day and age of high speed  news gettingout with computers, phones and etc.. Everything is known practically as it happens. With pictures.

Yet come election time.. the time comes to a screeching
halt.  The polls closed at 8pm.  And if it was a national
election…yeah, we get results asap.. in fact one of
the biggest gripes we have out West here.. is that by
the times the Ohio polls closed, they are already
declaring a winner.. when we out here on the West
Coast, have 2 more hours to go, to vote.  Makes you
disgusted, if you just got off work, and go down to
vote and they are telling you who won, before
you make your mark. You still stay, because of
the local vote.

But in the off year, where it is all local.. or state
anyway… the wheels come to a grinding stop.
The local county clerks office, doesn’t post any
thing until about 11pm.  And then it isn’t
complete.. so you end up….. if you are an
election junkie.. (I use to be one, then sleep
Was more important) staying up until about 1am.

The newspaper may not have much either as,
they went home before the full count it is in.
So you are left with going back on line and
getting the  results as they won’t be in print
until Thursdays paper.  So much for the
fast pace of computers and news… at least
locally.

Understanding Transgender…

No, I am not going to address the bathroom
situation.. although I have to wonder and ask
where did all the transgender go to the bath
room before this became a big issue?

My understanding the difference between a
lesbian/homosexual  is that they are comfortable
In their own skin.. They just happen to love
someone of the same sex. But the women
like being women and the men like being
men.

Where as, a transgender does not feel
comfortable in their own skin. They feel
they should have been born the opposite
of the sex they were.  They feel that God
go it wrong.

Which makes life a living hell for them.
It isn’t just the fight within, to try to
sort it all out in the beginning, but
the fight with society as society shuns
or bullies them.

It would be so easy for them.. to walk into
a building and come out the other side the
gender they prefer, with everyone’s memory
being that gender and not the body they
were born in.

But life is not like that. Most people harass
them.. or shun them (family members or
even friends)  Some of the people have
it in their hearts to accept the person.

But most don’t. For we humans, tend
to hate what we don’t understand. What
we don’t understand, we are scare of..
and back to the hate.  And for some reason
we seem to think subconsciously, we
find that making it bad for those, it makes
us seem less bad.

We forget that these are human beings,
who deserve to be loved.  Who deserve
to be hugged by their families and friends…
to be accepted by the same.  Why can’t
that be? What are we afraid of?  If we
accept them, as themselves, it doesn’t
make us transgender.  So what is the
harm.   I know some have trouble with
it religious wise.. But didn’t Jesus love
everyone?

I realize there are some lesbians, homosexual
And transgender make it hard on all of us.
By flaunting their sexuality in flaming
attitudes. It is hard to accept them as
just them, when they decide to throw it
out there with wild colors, half dressed
and in your face attitude.  And that is
what makes it hard on the rest of them.
And us… trying to understand.

A good share of us, just wants them to
act and dress normally, just be the sex
they feel comfortable in.  Just don’t come
out with dresses on, with a beard. That
is what upsets people… Be a woman if
that is what you want.. be a guy, if that
is what you want.

And a lot of us, are just trying to understand.
And let you be you…

As far as the bathroom thing, makes me wonder
what the powers that be... government or media
are trying to throw under the rug, so this is a
diversion.

Coming to a store near you…

There is a company in India, called Bakey, who
has a marvelous product.  They have been selling
this product in India like hot cakes.

I came across their Facebook a couple of
months ago, and did some research as
I would love to buy them.  They came like
144 in a box for something like about $10.
But it would be hard to buy them as they
don’t sell them in America.

But all this might change as they have
drummed up $278,000.00 on Kickstart,
So they can sell global.

And yes, I will be buying..  So what is this
amazing product, that I speak of?
Edible spoons and forks.  They come
in 3 flavors.. a sweet one, one that taste
like crackers, and a plain wafer type
flavor.  And they are strong enough to
eat hot soup, with the spoons. Haven’t
heard if they are going to be making
knives or not.

But just think of it.. You eat your dinner,
and then you eat your silverware.. NO
dishes.. Well, they would have to make
an edible  plate to make it complete..

But no more fights with who is going to
do the dishes!!  Ok, so you have a
dishwasher… but not every one does.
This would be sooooooooo cool..
AND CAMPING.. how cool is that, you
can eat your fork or spoon.. no waste.

Any way, keep an eye out for BAKEY company.
edible forks and spoons…. Coming soon in a

store near you…

A tribute to a great guy

Shorty Blood, a local logger of many years…
employed so many people over the years.
A man of a great sense of humor.. great
wit, and a smile that made anyone’s day.

On Saturday, there were over 60 trucks who
traveled from Sagle where they gathered,
go north on highway 95, winding thru
downtown Sandpoint, up to highway 200…
pass Shorty’s favorite restaurant... the HOOT OWL
and on to Kootenai-cut-across Road … heading
towards the county fair grounds.   For the
huge celebration of life ceremony, the a
full parking lot, and fields of those who came
to pay their respects.

It was quite a homage to Shorty... the horns were
sounding off, so soulfully sad... it was like each truck
and its driver was wailing at the lost yet, celebrating his life...
His friends did not forget…
