And the Protest go
on….
Here in our own little town.. which
we might have 20 minorities living here..
there came a COMMITTEE.. and told
the Mayor and Commissioners.. they came to give a list of demands with an OR ELSE at the
end… Wow, is all I can say.. If you are
trying to change things.. the last two things you want to do is DEMAND…AND OR
ELSE.. That is if you want to get
somewhere… Now I am going to go out on a limb here, because I am betting (there
were not pictures) that there was not a minority in the bunch.. Meaning all
white people…
Now, if the small group that we do
have here, came…the ones who are black.. Mexican, Oriental, and India ancestry…
and ask to talk to the mayor and etc.. Then that would be one thing… And I am
sure if there was an official committee of the Mayor, Chief of Police, the
Commissioners, Sheriff, and School Dept. to sit down and talk to them..
everyone would like to try to help them be treated like everyone else… I am sure there has to be some uncomfortable
times for them.. and their families.
While the official committee could
go back to their employees and work on training for betterment.. it would not
end all of the problems.
Because the real problem here is not
the school, or the police and etc.. but the people… You and I… so to speak..
The ones who don’t speak up when they hear things.. Those who turn their head with embarrassment,
not wanting to get involved.. instead of speaking up and saying Hey, we don’t
talk like that here.. Be more respectful.. if you want respect.. give
respect..
So to come and DEMAND a list of 20
items.. and end with OR ELSE.. does your group no good… doesn’t do anyone any
good.
The Mayor, Chief of Police, Sheriff
and the rest of the them can talk to their employees and offer training.. but
it doesn’t take care of the public.
So what is the thing to fix this.. I
guess starting with arresting the looters and domestic terrorist…They are breaking the law... Have the peaceful protesters, select a mixed
group to come up with suggestions.. IF
YOU HAVE A PROBLEM in your city…
