4th of July. 2020 .. Sandpoint Style...

4th of JULY 2020 ... Sandpoint Style 

This year ... the Lion's club could not put on the 4 of the July parade.. the virus came to town.. 

BUT

the towns people said.. ok.. we understand ... 

BUT...

WE want our 4th of July parade... 

A couple of men and women stepped up to the plate, sent out a call of donations... 

And DONATIONS they GOT.... 

from far and wide... it started with the idea

of the parade.. but more money came in.. 

So they put in the works a cook out and fun old fashion games.

like 3 legged race and etc.. 

Well, someone said.. what about the fireworks...

And more money poured in.. 

SO THE CITIZENS MADE IT HAPPEN... 

PARADE...

COOKOUT

& 

FIREWORKS...

who made it happen. 

BRAVO.. 

if the other two are as great as the parade..

everyone should have a great time at the other two events.. 

So here you are.. for those who chose not to come because of health..

or wasn't here...  I took pictures...

This is at 8am.. when the line up was going to start..

 While waiting for others.. saw this tree...  beautiful color.. in a vacant lot

 the food court was opening up and setting up.....

 by 9:20 people started to show up....  Parade start is at 10 am. 

 This is the only one who I saw who outside carried.... and I know for a fact that this young man earn the right to wear it.....  He is one of the ones who kept it so we could have a parade to celebrate... that is right folks.. he is a VET!!

 it is 9:40am..

 Two of the biggest population.... bikes and dogs... well behaved dogs..

 I had the best seat of the parade.... but once the parade started.. I gave it to a couple... as I was on the move.... did have a wonderful conversation with a woman from Rathdrum.. before the crowd.

And here we start... the parade at 10:01am... pretty darn good... as most of the time things start on Sandpiont time .. which is 20 minutes later... lol...    the pictures pretty well speak for themselves...

 And like they say at the movies....THAT'S ALL FOLKS...
