Remember your words are only as good as your source

Everyone gives their opinion... on anything and everything..
And of late, there are a lot of opinions flying around politically. 

I believe it was the author Poe who wrote in a book one time..
"the time will arrive when you will learn to judge for yourself of what is going on in the world, without trusting to the gossip of others. Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see."

Today it is getting to the point that you believe 1/20th of what
you read..  The new truth is the "altered truth... which I still don't get.. it is
either true or it isn't .. if it isn't .. it is a LIE... even a little white lie is a lie.
If it has some truth to it.. it still isn't all the truth.  And truth is thrown around
now days like a rag doll.

The other thing is.. where do these people get their opinions from? Reading?
Watching the news or a show?  God forbid on the internet, where everyone can say
as they wish, and truth doesn't even have to be in the same sentence with their opinion.

Your words are only as good as your source.. and a lot of people have very wobbly
sources these days.  And people seem to believe anything.  And rarely even look to
check their sources. 

A book I read in the 80's told of checking to see where the source is for anyone saying anything.
Who is They?  who is the committee?  who is that group, and who makes up that group? And
what do they have to gain by it?
