Horse shows bring back memories....

My childhood summers were mostly spent at horse shows. My mother showed
American Saddle Breds for years, then switched to Jumpers/Hunters and then ending their
show life and their own with Hackney ponies....

So when I got an offer to escort a very special person to the horse show at the fair
grounds, it was something I looked forward to...

The difference between the shows of years ago with Mom, was they were all
English saddle, where today it was Western Pleasure all the way...

The Announcer is ready..... Marianne Love ( of Slight Detour)

There are horses, lots of horses......and riders with great hopes...

Ms Tibbs on Dusty shows off their stuff.
And the winner is....... Ms. Tibbs and Dusty....
And Mom Tibbs gets to hold the ribbon

And there is the other Ms. Tibbs on Lily.... and when Lily is good, she is very good...
And when Miss Lily is naughty, she is very naughty....

And here are two very well known Bonner County horsewomen, watching the younger generation...
With remarks of times gone by.... Mardette Lewis and Virginia Tibbs.... the stories they spin
of long ago.

And at the end... this lucky young lady won the Harold Tibbs Toby1 belt buckle... donated
by the Tibbs family in memory of their husand/dad.... ..

And now you need to go over to http://www.slightdetour.blogspot.com/ and get the rest of the story... with all the facts... As if you haven't gathered... The Tibbs are Marianne's Mom and sisters.
