I thought that when you turn 19, that all things that happen to you under 18
were a closed file. But there was a judge, who not only looked at the past,
but read one by one, each and every time the young man
got into trouble. Each ticket, both car accidents, all that had happen before the
young man was 18. Most happen when he was between 16 and 17.
So I guess a closed file of before 18 is not a closed file. And can be used
against the person. As the young man was going to get a fine, and 1 year
probation as requested by the Prosecuting Attorney. But after reading out
loud each transgression, the judge changed that to 90 days in jail, with 75
suspended, (serving 15 days) and 2 years of probation.
Oh, for those Loman fans, he didn’t get a 2 weeks to go take care of his
affairs. He went from the judge to a complete body search. Yes, a complete
body search.
I thought when you hired a lawyer, that everything that you told the lawyer was
held in confidence. And that lawyer can not be sequester to testify to your
conversation. But thru the President Clinton court ordeal, we saw where his
lawyer was to testify.
It was my understanding, that no one could tape your conversation on a phone,
UNLESS they told you at the beginning of that conversation or the beginning of
the taping of that conversation. That it was against the law, not to notified the
other party that it was being taped. But as we have seen from the Mel Gibson mess,
that is not true… because surely he did not say, sure go ahead and tape our conversation.
But then again… after all this mess, he called again.. And of course it was taped again.
This man doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut. Guess he must not have seen
the saying from Abraham Lincoln…. It is best to keep your mouth shut and thought
a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
We lost two men over in Afghanistan this past week. They were Navy men… which
brings me to my other misunderstanding…Being raised in a Navy town of
Newport, R.I. I always thought that the men in the Navy worked on the ships or on
the base…which was near water… where the ships docked. So what were these Navy
men doing in a humvee in Afghanistan?

I thought members of the National Guard were to protect us here at home against floods, etc. But my 50 year old son, in the National Guard was activated and sent to Iraq in 2004.
A lot of things we thought were true...turned out they weren't. This is a different country from the one I grew up in.
You are right on both accounts, Margie... I had the National Guard on my list to put there, and forgot. Because I always thought the N G. WAS FOR OUR BORDERS.. not others... Reserve and the regular Army was for foreign soil.
And No things aren't the same in this country as it was when i was growing up...
Cis, In Idaho one party can tape your conversation without your consent.
It has also been documented that the Sheriff's Dept in Bonner County can tape and record Private citizen's conversation with no cause which is against the Privacy Act of 1974. But you have to sue in federal court to win that one - hopefully.
When 'they' get caught, 'they' get off scott free, no one is prosecuted but, they are promoted. It all goes down at an undisclosed place and time. Mainstream media ignores it.
Ask your Emergency Management Director, Ask your Commissioners, and while you are at it ask your Senator. They all know.
An Idaho Supreme Court Case - Civil Opinion - is now case law.
Email me off site, I will be happy to send it to you.
P.S. 'They' are much smarter now.
