It was the most wonderful day

The two people who brought this celebration to you... was Maggie the Mayor of Kootenai, who put in hours and hours of planning.... and Johnny Lawson, not only line up the entertainment, but kept it running smoothly thru the whole day...


Shriners were there early setting up their equipment to start breakfast to start at 8am.

While the flaggers kept the traffic flowing around the celebration
Miah Kohal Musical Performance which entertain for almost an hour, then
had his son,Zack (I believe) come up and sing a Johnny Cash song, (he did a great job of it)






Friends catch up on each others lives, old friends who haven't seen each other in years.



Pend Oreille Trails had a great display of their path from Dover to Ponderay...

the audience started to find shady places to listen to the music.

Bent Whiskers fills in a space between ....


AND THEN... THE BAND THAT THE OLD TIMERS STAYED TO 7 TO HEAR....
THE PACK RIVER BAND....all the orginial band members .....

The people started to gather around... and danced...
And danced they did.....

From gazebo to tents.....


And the last prize was given out... Coldwater Creek basket...to a happy winner...




The music played and so did the children....

THANK YOU, JOHNNY LAWSON, FOR THE GREAT ENTERTAINMENT DAY FOR KOOTENAI.....
AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORTERS, HELPERS AND ALL THE LITTLE PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCENES.... So many who help put up and remove tents, checked for garabage, even though the crowd did an excellent job of keeping the park clean... Jan Hansen, for the beautiful flowers on the gazebo, and getting prizes for the crowd. For all the sponsers who help in so many ways.
I know I will forget some one... so thank you to all.... and to the crowd who came, because of you, it was a success.... Thank you all.....
