Sad day yesterday…

Sad day yesterday, for those of us who love comedy. Tim Conway.
You could not watch him with out laughing out loud.
He is the funniest comedian that I can think of.. pass Jonathan Winters, pass Robin Williams.. pass John Candy… All which are great comedians.

But Tim could crack you up, with just a look.  If you have any doubts, ask any one who has ever been on the Carol Burnett show.  Some said Harvey, was a great comedian but I disagree.. Wasn’t a fan of Harvey Korman.  Carol Burnett along with Lucy Ball, are great comedians.. but no one holds the candle to Tim Conway.

He could take off on his own.. leaving the writers script to the wind.  I imagine it could be hard to work with him, if you were precise and needed the lead in words for your part. Because Tim really never followed script so it was wing it.  And the Carol Burnett crew were great to keep up with him.

I have seen many of actors lose it on that show, trying to keep a straight face, as Tim would go thru his routine.  One comes to mind was Dick Van Dyke, who could hold his own with most.. fell over the couch arm and on the floor, as he tried so hard to keep a straight face… losing it in a fit of laughter..

Yes, it was a sad day in the land of comedians, yesterday… not only by us who got to watch him.. but those who worked with him.  I heard he was just as nice and nutty as the guy we saw on the screen.

God Bless…. And rest in peace Tim Conway…  and thank you so much for all the memories… Thankfully with the videos that are around.. we will get to laugh again. And hopefully you can hear it up there.   And if the sky shake, we know that God is laughing as well..
