YAHOO …. MAY.. FINALLY ..
May, finally the start of summer…the start of the happy
dance. Seedlings starting in the green
house.. If snow is off the Baldy Mountain, like the locals say… then you might
be brave enough to put in the root plants.. onions, maybe beets, and carrots…
But no tomatoes yet... maybe at the end
of May... but the green house is getting busy...
Of course there are those down South who have had a garden
going for 2 months. And then there are
the stores who have had plants ready for sale for a month or so.. “Fools
plants” I call them.... because you
are fool if you bought them and planted them…
By now they are dead.. too cold.. morning frost. And etc.. etc..
etc… So if you don't have a green house
to put them in until it is ready.. sorry...but your plants and money is gone.
But summer is coming.. I hear the sounds of mowing machines
in the neighborhood… and we also have mowed once.. but it is just a matter of
time before it is a weekly job..
And then it will be a twice a week….and it is like snow…
You know the first snow comes.. and you are out there
enjoying the shoveling and snow blowing..
the air is great.. and feel good.. but by the time winter is in full
bore.. and you are snowblowing twice a
day….... YOU ARE NOT enjoying it anymore…...same thing with mowing the lawn and
weed whacking…
But it is MAY… and the leaves are coming on strong ..on
bushes, trees, roses, and seedlings in the green house..
IT IS MAY… YAHOO….
