As many of you set out today and
early tomorrow, to go to enjoy your
Thanksgiving Dinner with friends
and family, please keep in mind, to
keep it safe.
We are heading out to have dinner
and times with old friends. Ones that
go back 30+ years. This is our first
non-family dinner. And with the lost
of one of my Head Chefs, this month,
from the past, aka Dad, my thoughts
will be with his family.
So I wish you all a wonderful day with
friends and family. Eat well, and count
your blessings.
And if the creek don't rise, and the snow
doesn't drift,
I will be back here early Monday morning...
tossing words again..
God Bless

On my trip from Seattle to Spokane I met a 85 year old lady from Great Falls, Montana that I immediately fell in love with. She’s cool — she’s got so much life in her and I learned a little about myself in the hour I spent visiting with her on the plane. I think I learned to appreciate the abundance of love from the people in my life now and those who made me what I am today. I know you’re many, many years from being 85, but, I’d bet some money that you’ll be as spunky and loving as her when you hit 85! This was my first Thanksgiving outside of Alaska in 23 years — I know it was pretty crazy with the huge family we have, please know it was wonderful having you with us.
Every once in a while someone enters your life and you have no idea why... when I tried to explain to my husband how you know me and why you’re special to me... I just kept coming up with ...'she just kept an eye on us when we really needed that set of eyes.' I find myself being an extra set of eyes at times to people...maybe I got that from you. Thanks for being there for us then and now. Have a great Sunday! Your family’s awfully lucky to have you :)
