I just don’t get it…

I got the Newsweek today and as I scan the titles, I see…
‘SOMETHING ABOUT HER TELLS ME TO FOLOW HER”
talking about Bachmann…

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.. As the generation after mine,
in 1970’s use to say.. gag me with a spoon… Now granted the
author wasn’t the one who said it…but someone she over heard,
who is 72 (who should know better) .

What is with these women? They grasp on to any women who looks good
without looking into what they stand for?
Palin/Bachmann…cotton candy politics, all looks and no substance.

Are the women, and I am generalizing here, of the USA, so desperate that they don’t care who? Just as long as it is a woman? We, over 60, worked too hard to have to settle with getting bimbo’s in office.

Gloria Steinem, are these women who you and others of NOW, had in mind
when you protested in the 60’s and 70’ and even the 80’s? Sure wasn’t what
I had in mind, when I champion women jobs. Telling my daughters that the
only thing stopping them, was themselves.

Especially Bachmann… God told her, her husband told her? What the heck?
Where is her brain, where is …. that she felt without her husband? And their
business, that is bases on telling homosexuals that you can be changed by
just a little talk of God and therapy? Listen to her, her husband, talk people
out of their sexual preference? Even if you don’t believe in same sex marriage.
and do believe in the holiness of marriage… this is so 1950…
I can’t believe women are following this person.

Marriage is a two way street… of respect for each other as well as love. Neither
should follow the other solely. You compliment each other.. You are a team.
Talk about walking backwards in time…

I JUST DON’T GET IT…

A question that keeps nagging at me about Michelle Bachmann's candidacy for 2O12 is this: She states that she submits to her husband. If she were elected (and I hope not), would we be governed by her or her husband? Either way, we lose. Just my take.

It sounds like you don't like her politics, and the fact that they are good looking women to boot. Your blog shows more of being jealous then anything else. Strong women with a good christian background is nothing to be jealous about. These women have worked hard to be where they are at right now. Would you post something like this about Hillary Clinton?

Anonymous, normally I don't give the time of the day to those who aren't brave enough to use their names... but I will make an exception this time...
To answer your question.. am I jealous of these women?.. I AM JEALOUS OF NO ONE... NO ONE... but I do get upset with women use their looks and act stupid.. And hiding behind the Christian card is beyond worth remarking on.
There are many good women.. young and old, good looking and not so ..(it is all in the eye of the beholder) as I find beauty in all. Would I make the same remarks about Hilary.. and the answer was yes, I did. Hilary has come a long way as Sec. of State. I just don't understand women who don't do their homework. Who depend on men, instead of their own brain and feelings. (see blog about marriage and men). No I don't care for her politics but even more I don't like her character and that she bows to her husband.
I would love to see a woman in the White House, just I like to see an intelligent one.. good looking or not.
Next time you comment please use your name..At least stand up and be counted for what you believe.. be it agreeing with me or not.

I'm glad you stood up this person (and I use that term loosely).

Just because a woman doesn't like another woman, it isn't always about looks. I'd like to think that smart women like us aren't that shallow. And one of the things I don't like about either Bachmann and Palin is that neither has any depth except the shallowness of their views and the mean-spirited hatred they spew. (How Christian!) Neither of these traits are attractive in a leader -- male or female. And my Daddy told me that pretty is as pretty does.

As to Hillary. I admire her because of the dignity and strength she demonstrated during the Lewinsky debacle and how, when Bill got elected, she called Jackie Kennedy and asked her how to protect Chelsea. Those things tell me a lot about her.

As to Anonymous posts, I won't publish them unless they leave their name in the message and maintain a degree of civility. I do know that there's a quirk in Blogger that mess up the standard way of commenting so it's the only way some folks can post comments.

You just keep doing what you're doing here and I'll keep reading and commenting. You are a good and wise friend.
