the way, do they tell the audience, before the cameras roll, to act like a fool
when you get picked.. Between the picking of the name and the crazy things down
the aisle.. and the ones on stage who are over board. Throwing themselves on
the floor.. and poor Drew.. he has to be wearing a back brace… some of those
clowns hit hard. What part of do you think the host can grab your whole body
weight like groom? They surely must be
told to act like a fool… there can’t be that many on one show.. daily…

Yes, I do think they tell them to act crazy because it makes for a livelier show. One time my husband and I were in Atlantic City and one of the casinos there had a 'Price is Right' show going on in one of their theaters. We waited in line to get in, and the whole audience was instructed to get excited and wave our arms around like they do on the real show if we happened to get called up. I don't know why, because it wasn't being filmed or anything. I guess they just wanted it to be a fun, realistic time for the people there. The host was actually a retired host from some old game show, although I had never heard of his name. Well, I was called up to be a contestant, and I waved my arms and acted like a fool, just like they said to! I even bid $1 on the item, as I was ABSOLUTELY SURE the other three contestants had bid too high! Nope!!! All I got out of the experience was a Price is Right T-shirt autographed by the unknown host, a fun afternoon, and a story to tell years later!!!
