We have talked about how the kids of today,
are in the entitlement generation. But what
about the rest of us.
Everything has to be now. Be it Redbox
Movies… go to the store and like a candy
bar, you put the credit card in and out
pops a movie. That isn't fast enough for you?
Then stay home, get online and hit PLAY NOW for a movie.
And it is sent to you right now, on your
computer. And if you are smart enough
to know how to connect your computer
to your television..(no, I am not that smart)
you can watch it on the television NOW...
What happen to the element of anticipation?
Something to look forward to?
And if you don't think you are in that group,
then I ask you, as you stand in front of the
microwave oven.... do you get antsy because
it isn't done yet?
How many are driving down the road, and
some one is doing 5 mph less than the limit
or doing just the limit. And the one behind starts
to get frustrated, as they want to go faster, to
get to their destination? What happen to
enjoying the ride?
Look at how many people wait until the last
minute for their Christmas shopping, and go
on line two days before, order everything, put
in the addresses of the people who gets the
gift, put rush shipping and hit send or submit?
No going to the store and look around to see
what is there, check out the material, and
buy it...bring it home, wrap it, and send it.
Ok, well, maybe that wasn't such a great
example.... but really why do we have to
have it NOW? Why can't we wait anymore?
