The Hunting trumpet has sounded…

The Hunting trumpet has sounded…

It is early dawn somewhere and the orange is
In the woods… as men of all sizes and shapes
walk the woods… and mine uses his 4 wheeler.
As the years have come and gone.. the legs are not what they use to be.. so the 4 wheeler is the way to go..

Yesterday, was a big rush to get everything ready.
Off to shopping for snacks and bottled water to carry.  Pack up his back pack, with extra gloves, walkie talkies, knives, extra ammo & etc.   4 wheeler loaded on the trailer and hooked up to the pick up..  check his rifle at least 4 times to make sure it is ok and ready to go.  The camo was laid out for the early rising.  A quick breakfast is in the fridge so not to waste time cooking.  Coffee set up with mugs.

And at the crack of dawn or before he will be at his friends house.. unloading the 4 wheeler and making sure everything is there..  And at the crack of the dawn, they will be off to their favorite spot.. Which is never mention, just like mushroom hunter, they are a secret to other mankind. To be in place..to be ready at the rising sun for that elk of the year. Some where between 6 and 7 up on the mountain top.

So good hunting, King of our house… and your buddies too…… as the dog and I sleep in until early rising sun time.. about 8 in the valley.  As we slowly wake up, coffee and paper in hand….thinking about what project to do while he is hunting and out of my way as I find thing I need to get done, with out his help.  Some women call themselves hunting widows.. but to me it is PROJECT TIME... lol

Yep, waiting for the sun to rise this morning.. and dog laying against my back…was a great feeling for both of us.
