WHERE ARE THE PEANUTS???

I know they are here somewhere.. because I have seen you com out of this door with them.

This might turn out to be a problem... it is cute now...by the way.. do squirrels hibernate? like bears do?  Or will this little girl be coming down to find peanuts in the snow..

Squirrels are destructive and aggressive! If they once have been fed by you, they will do anything to get back in, and succeed. They do not hibernate, unless in the recesses that they find inside your residence. They will eat siding, gnaw any opening, even tearing off window screens.. Same with racoons.... Never, ever start feeding either. Rodents also bite and carry disease.

Well, anonymous sure took the fun out of it! I always used to fed our squirrels when we lived in Bellevue. They'd take peanuts from my hand and never came close to biting me, never knawed through a screen, siding, nor got in the house. They were just fun. But then that was just our experience.

WOW.. ANONYMOUS... I have heard people say, you either love squirrels or you hate them... have to agree with Mari... I haven't had that experience with them.. we see ours mostly in the summer that is why I asked if they hibernate... so far she has been a great source of enjoyment for my husband and I.... but thanks for you view of the other side of the coin.

they also have fleas. fleas are horrible bad this year, almost all the cats who come into the shelter have them, something I have never seen before. guess a cold winter would help with that.
